I crow columbines (Aquilegia) is a shaded gorden beneath Japanese maple trees. The floret heads reach up toward the sun, the attractive green foliage and roods remain in full shade. In is easy to se the plant's relationship to the buttercup. In the right conditions, this is an easy-to-grow perennial that will self seed into a sheltered garden. The fine seeds can be directly sown in the sheltered garden between early spring and mid-summer. They are a delight to glow.
