This kitty in blossoms painting is my warm-up work to a painting of the double peony tulip. I'll work on it this spring.
I love that a friend thought these flowers were apple blossom, because I wanted to go for impressionism, with the flowers, and have different viewers see different flowers in the image.
I see magnolia soulangiana in the tree and my Renae thornless climbing rose in the foreground, but I didn't want it so defined that anyone knew for certain what the flowers were. The kitten in the garden is the story, and not the support characters. There are many parallels to painting and writing novels.
I find working loose in acrylics the hardest and I'm working hard to master that.
Step One: Video
I'll include painting a blossoms garden to my March 2019 art class demonstration tutorial plans and painting a white cat to my December 2018 art class curriculum. I'll announce plans for how to enroll in my next newsletter.

I have been loading an average of three videos a week to YouTube all year, and plan to continue doing that for as long as I can.
If you subscribe to my channel and hit the notifications bell you will receive notification of each new video I submit.
As it is Spring in Australia, you may be sure there will be a lot of flower painting and studio garden chat videos to come in the next few months.
As I have just opened my CatCaricature eBay store to accept pet portrait commissioned artwork , there is sure to be dog and cats in the garden painting videos planned.
Most of this spring's videos are likely to be "My Day in the Garden Studio," painting and part tutorial about painting, and part information about the business of art, style videos, so I've lots of variety planned and hope there will be plenty to interest you.
I always appreciate your likes and comments. :-)
Cheers, Ryn Shell.

Time for some spring garden show and tell. :-) First my stone fruit trees. The dwarf peach tree, which is far from a dwarf. The peach fruit is so delicious it newer hits the basket, it goes straight into my mouth as it ripens.
Haha, yes, I have had too many peaches at once belly ache. I may freeze some this year. Vegemite in water in jars with entry holes are my fruit fry traps, to go up as soon as the blossoms fall.
The apricot tree. I had a freezer full of stewed apricots last year.
Ditto, re the stewed fruit for the nectarine tree, I bought for fifty cents. I had loads of naturally sweet stewed fruit to freeze and keep my in home grown fruit for months after the harvest season.
