The first of August was my human, author, Ryn Shell's seventy-second birthday. She bought us cats a fabulous present.
We only have the tracking number so far, but I supervised the home help and had her clean out the room our special furniture piece is going in. All will be revealed. Anyhow, Given that I'll now have a toilet that will be far superior to that of my humans, I decided I'd directly compete and show my superiority in other ways. Firstly with the artwork. Ryn Shell does fine art. Meow to that. I can do better. Today I showed her. I sat at her elbow and directed this "Bed Hair Cat," caricature. The truth is, I am always immaculate. This is a parody of what my human looks like when she gets up in the morning.
Well, I got me and the missus, Tabby, a website. I heard her tell someone that when she had a poodle, they had a Doggies Blog that got 10,000 readers a week. Cat's can do better than that. I'll show her. The competition is on, for me to outdo her fine art with FUN art.
A word from the artist
The art supplies I used to create this fun art work were the popular Copic Pens.
Would you believe that creating fun art is scarier for me that to create fine art?
Once I began working with the easy to use Copic Pens I relaxed and fell right into the fun mood of the artwork. With Valentine's help, we did it, and the first cat caricature video has been created; a short fun one to start with.
My Funny Valentine is the blog's name, chosen by one of my private Facebook Group members. All our patrons get an invite to that group. Check it out:
I'll create my fine art, or work on my cozy mystery novel, at night, when my 9 - 5 job of working for the cats is done. Then the cats will reward me with cuddles.
Cheers. Ryn Shell
