Inktober Day 1 & 2: Dealing with self doubt

The excellence is in the doing, not the attempt at the perfection of the work. You will miss so much in life if you want perfection, and won't risk anything less. This 'story' inspired me once, to have confidence in accepting commissioned portraits: I went to a fair once and a young man sat sketching people for a fee.
He had removed the obvious stress from the commissioned portrait artwork situation before he started. His promotion sign read: "You too could be insulted for $.."

While I never tried that then, I am doing much the same now by calling my Inktober work caricatures. I was impressed by that man's attitude of getting out there and doing it, before he considered his work was good. 
It is a mental attitude, not drawing ability. If you don't make a start, if you aren't prepared to take a risk and show you are human, not a perfect machine, you cannot improve. 

The compliments coming in here are for effort, imagination, and personality rather than the perfection of the interpretation of the prompt word.
